On November 13, 2014, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) was given top honors at Montgomery’s Business in the Arts Awards, receiving the Frank Plummer Memorial Arts Award – the annual event’s lifetime achievement award for supporting the arts in our community.
Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange presented the award to HMMA President and CEO J.H. Kim during the awards luncheon and praised the company’s dedication to art programs since 2006.
“Montgomery is blessed to have some of the best cultural and arts institutions of any city, of any size,” President Kim said as he accepted the award, declaring that HMMA will continue its strong support of the arts in the River Region.
The 28th Annual Business in the Arts Awards event is coordinated by the Montgomery Area Business Committee for the Arts. Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama received the Virginia and Robert S. Weil Arts in Education Award.
