MONTGOMERY , Ala., December 22, 2008 – Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) and its team members donated more than $106,000 in cash contributions during the 2008 United Way campaign, the second straight year the campaign achieved a double-digit increase over the previous year’s campaign. Rick Neal, vice president and general counsel and Sheron Rose, senior manager – human resources for HMMA recently presented this year’s contribution to Will Sellers, 2008 River Region United Way campaign chair, Dave Borden, 2008 campaign vice chairman and Charlie Colvin, executive director – River Region United Way. This is the third year HMMA has conducted a United Way drive.

“Every year we work hard to serve our community with a special emphasis on the River Region United Way campaign,” said Rick Neal, vice president and general counsel. “This has been an especially tough year for many folks and our Team Members feel honored to give back to the communities and people who are so important to us all.”
