HMMA AND MONTGOMERY PUBLIC SCHOOLS CELEBRATE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS IN STEM

Montgomery, Ala.– Montgomery Public Schools partnered with Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) and Ed Farm to launch “Manufacturing the Future with Hyundai: Future of Mobility,” an innovative educational program that provides middle school students with a unique learning experience focused on robotics, sustainability, and emerging technology in the automotive industry.

Over several weeks, MPS students had the privilege of engaging with real-world applications of STEM concepts and design thinking, gaining valuable insights into the industry. Through this program, students gained hands-on experience in designing innovative solutions for the future of mobility. 

The Top 5 MPS Student Fellows Teams were recognized at the Future of Mobility Awards Night on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Hyundai. Students presented their projects and displayed their creative and innovative solutions for the future of mobility.

1st Place: Floyd Middle Magnet The Hyundai JIN-IN Cruiser
2nd Place: Southlawn Middle School Hyundai Ion Bullet
3rd Place: Goodwyn Middle School Hyundai Blackcat
4th Place: Baldwin Arts & Academics Magnet School Hyundai Euology
5th Place: Carr Middle School Hyundai Jaguars
